Week 3

It has been a busy and exciting week in Seuss Class!

In English, we have started writing our own newspapers based on The Twits. The children reported on the unfortunate prank played by Mr Twit, where poor Mrs Twit was seen floating across the sky tied to balloons! They retold the events using eyewitness accounts, adding lots of humour and creativity to bring the newspaper report to life.

In Science, we explored different food groups and learned about their important functions in keeping our bodies healthy. The children showed great understanding of how a balanced diet helps us grow strong and stay well.

Today in Art, we were introduced to our new artist, Beatriz Milhazes. The children created wonderful fact files about her and included examples inspired by her colourful abstract artwork. Their work today was colourful and reflected the inspiration of Beatriz style, influenced by nature and her home of Brazil.
