Welcome to Tolkien Class Page. I hope you find this page useful. Rowling class is led by Miss Harding and supported by Mrs Hudson. This half-term, our PE days are Monday and Tuesday but all children should have their kits in school with them all week.
Year 5 children are set for English and Maths. These sets are taught by the Year 5 teachers (Miss Harding, Mr Curtis, Miss Kingston and Miss McDonald).
Spelling homework is set on a Tuesday and is due the following Tuesday. Maths homework is set on Tuesday and is due the following Tuesday. Homework is an important way for children to embed the learning they have been undertaking in class. Spellings are set weekly on Spelling Shed and maths homework is set weekly on MyMaths. Children may also be set homework on paper which will be given back to them once it has been markedd. We also expect the children to read their reading scheme book at home (at least 3 times a week) and record this in their home/school diary. Please ensure that your child has their home/school diary in their bag every day so we can keep track of their reading.
