Tolkien Class Update 22/10/26

Date: 21st Oct 2026 @ 3:33pm

Well.... what a half term it has been in Tolkien Class!

The children have taken to life in Year 5 and it has been brilliant to see them grow in confidence as the half term has progressed. We have finished all of our topics and the effort that the children have put into their outcomes has been great to see! I've no doubt that this will continue as soon as we are back after half term.

We finished a busy half term with a fantastic maths day arrange by Mr Robertson. The children visited all of the other year groups looking at different types of 'outdoor maths' before returning to their class and talking about their findings. As well as this, the children very much enjoyed Break the Rules Day to finish the half term in an extra fun way whilst raising and donating goods for our Christmas Fayre.

We look forward to seeing you all at our Harvest Festival Assembly during the first week back. The children have been practising as a whole year group at least once a week for the last few weeks, preparing to put on an excellent and informative show to parents and the rest of the school.

Wishing you a wonderful and restful half term and we will see you back in school on 2nd November!

Mr Curtis
