Rowling Class Update 12/6/26

Date: 12th Jun 2026 @ 3:34pm

This week, Rowling Class have enjoyed a wide range of exciting and enriching learning experiences across the curriculum. In English, the children have been developing their setting descriptions by comparing a wildflower meadow with a lifeless garden, carefully selecting ambitious vocabulary to create vivid contrasts between the two settings. As part of Sports Week, they took part in PE enrichment and enjoyed learning Ultimate Frisbee, showing excellent teamwork, enthusiasm and determination throughout. Today, the class also took their learning outdoors for a forest school session, where they collected pollinator data and made seed scatters with the aim of encouraging more pollinators into the forest school area. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn more about biodiversity and how we can care for our natural environment. In DT, the children have also begun planning their felt pencil cases, exploring design ideas and thinking carefully about how to make their products both practical and attractive. It has been a productive and enjoyable week for Rowling Class, filled with creativity, collaboration and hands-on learning.

Have a lovely weekend everyone!
