Lewis' Learning Log

Date: 10th Jun 2026 @ 6:07pm

What a week we have had so far!

On Monday, Lewis class enjoyed their first outdoor learning opportunity in our forest. We investigated a range of trees, observing leaves closely to classify the trees and even attempted to calculate each tree's approximate age using measurements. Everyone showed such an amazing interest in their learning and were fully engaged with the activities. We cannot wait for our next session outdoors!

On Tuesday, everyone got an opportunity to try their hand at ultimate frisbee. Once more, each and every child tried their absolute best approaching this new sport and were brimming with determination during activities and games.

Today, we concluded our science experiment investigating which fizzy drink would have the most detrimental effect on our teeth - using eggs in the drinks to test. We left the eggs in the fizzy drinks throughout the week and they were taken out today to observe. As you can see from the photo, interestingly, lemonade created the most damage to the egg's shell. The class was "fizzing" with excitement for each reveal.
