What an excellent first week back! It has been a pleasure to return to the classroom and be learning with you all.

This week, we have been writing persuasive adverts in English, aiming to sell our own versions of a Willy Wonka chocolate bar. Needless to say, we have had to work extremely hard to concentrate over the sound of our collective stomachs rumbling at the thought. In science, we have begun to explore electricity; identifying which common appliances run on mains electricity and which run on batteries. Many budding scientists in class, realised for some it was both! In geography, we have embarked on our sustainability unit and have started to analyse how sustainable Perryfields is. Hopefully, throughout the unit, everyone will take a keen interest in how we can act more sustainably and how that will have a positive impact on the planet.
