First Week - Welcome

Date: 3rd Sep 2026 @ 4:44pm

Hello and welcome to our class blog page.

This week has been all about welcoming Seuss Class, making new friends and learning new routines.

The children have been incredible and we feel incredibly proud of the resilience and growth mindsets we have seen as they have  adapted to their new routines.

This week, the children have been learning about Perryfields and the many opportunities available to them.  The children have brought home a letter about important roles such as an Eco Warrior, School Council, Digitial Leaders and House Representatives they will be able to apply for.  To be able to stand for one of the roles they will need to prepare a speech and present it to the class on Monday. All children will have an opportunity to do a blind vote for the speech they think shows the values to be a  representative for class.

Reading diaries have been sent home and we will be distributing reading books over the coming days for the children to read at home with their adults. Please log any reading the children do at home, even if they have their own reading for pleasure book.  We love to see the different genres and authors children enjoy reading.

Please ensure that all PE kits are labelled and into school by Monday. A reminder on PE days girls are required to remove their earrings independently.

Seuss class you are all superstars and should be very proud of your first week.  We cannot wait to see how brightly you will all shine this year after this impressive start.
