Delightful Dahl 01.05.26

Date: 1st May 2026 @ 3:38pm

This week in Dahl class, we have been busy with lots of exciting hands-on learning across the curriculum!

In Science, we explored the digestion system in a very memorable way. We carried out an experiment to help us understand how food travels through the body and is broken down. While it was fascinating to see the process in action, some of us found parts of the experiment a little… unpleasant to look at! Despite a few wrinkled noses, everyone showed great curiosity and bravery, and we all came away with a much better understanding of how our bodies work.

In History, we have been learning about the Benin Kingdom. The children worked incredibly hard to create their own exhibition boards, showcasing everything they have learned so far. We then had a chance to handle and explore a range of artefacts. It was wonderful to see the children discussing their ideas and sharing their knowledge with one another.

In Art, we have been exploring different types of fabric. The children enjoyed investigating how fabrics look and feel, using descriptive language to talk about texture, pattern, and appearance. We had some fantastic discussions and thoughtful observations as the children compared materials.

It has been a fantastic week of learning, and we are very proud of all the effort and enthusiasm the children have shown!
