Dahl Class Update - 04.09.26

Date: 4th Sep 2026 @ 5:34pm

What a great first few days we have had back at school this week. It has been a pleasure to welcome everyone back and have so many happy faces in the classroom!

Dahl class have had a busy couple of days on their return with lots of information to digest, new classrooms to navigate and new routines to learn...and they have coped beautifully.

We spent English lessons writing poems inspired by our school STRIVE values; the perfect way to remind ourselves of all the values we will display throughout the academic year ahead. Dahl class also finished the week with a relaxing art lesson creating inspiration boards displaying information about Claude Monet and his infamous artwork.

I have spoken to the class about the "Reading Monopoly" game we play in class and have encouraged them all to do as much reading at home throughout the year to start moving their way around our Monopoly board in the classroom. Don't forget to write in your reading diaries and hand them in on Monday so you can get started.

Finally, anyone interested in becoming a school councillor, eco-warrior, digital leader or house representative will get the opportunity on Monday afternoon to share their ambition with the class and possibly get voted into the role in our class elections. Maybe over the weekend prepare a small speech that could win those all-important votes.

I hope everyone has a well-deserved, restful weekend and I will see you all Monday morning ready for a full week of fun and learning!
