Cowell Class Update 18.09.2026

Date: 18th Sep 2026 @ 2:47pm

Week 3 is now complete... well done, everyone!

This week, the children have spent time thinking carefully about how they would like our class to be moving forward. We had some fantastic discussions about the importance of kindness, showing respect to others and staff members, and using good manners every day in school. The children shared some wonderful ideas and worked together to create posters for our class display, reminding us all of the values that help make our classroom a happy and positive place to learn.

We also enjoyed our very first History lesson! The children travelled back in time to begin learning about the Stone Age. We started exploring chronology and discovered how historians place important events on a timeline. The children showed great curiosity and enthusiasm, and we are looking forward to learning much more about this fascinating period of history over the coming weeks.

Homework folders have now been sent home and include all of the homework expectations for the term. Homework will begin from next week, so please take some time to read through the information together at home.

I was also blown away by the incredible effort that you all have put into your House Homework! I have receieved a range of different pieces and I cannot wait to see them up on display in the hall ready for our MacMillan Coffee Morning next week.

A huge congratulations to our Pupil of the Week, Oliver! Oliver has had a brilliant week and has produced a beautiful narrative based on The Elves and the Shoemaker. His hard work, creativity and positive attitude have really shone through. Well done, Oliver!

Have a lovely, restful weekend and we look forward to seeing everyone bright and early on Monday morning.
