A Fantastic First Week in Cowell Class!
What a fantastic first week we have had in Cowell Class! The children have made a brilliant start to the new school year, showing enthusiasm, courage and a wonderful attitude to learning throughout the week.
Class Elections
One of the highlights of our week was taking part in our class elections. All of the children showed tremendous bravery by putting themselves forward for different roles and writing and presenting fantastic speeches explaining why they would be perfect for their chosen position.
We were incredibly impressed by the thought, confidence and creativity shown in each speech. It was wonderful to see the children listening respectfully to one another and celebrating everyone's efforts.
A huge congratulations to our successful candidates:

- Eco Warriors: Tadgh & Annie
- School Councillors: Phoebe & Zaynah
Every child who took part should be incredibly proud of themselves. Standing up in front of your classmates and sharing your ideas takes real courage, and we were so impressed with everyone's bravery.
The children will find out the results of the House Representative elections next week. The votes are currently being counted and carefully verified, so watch this space!
A Wonderful Start to Our New Topics
This week, we also enjoyed our very first lessons in French, Science, Art and PSHE. The children have made a fantastic start to each of their new topics and have shown brilliant effort, enthusiasm and curiosity.
It has been lovely to see everyone getting stuck into their learning and beginning to develop new knowledge and skills. We are very excited to see where these topics take us over the coming weeks!
Homework Reminder
A little reminder that House Homework is due on Friday 18th September.
After this date, children will come home with a homework folder containing all of the information and details they will need about homework going forward. Please keep an eye out for these folders and the information inside.

Finally, a huge well done to our very first Pupil of the Week, Thanvika!
Thanvika has had an exceptional week and has continued to follow our new class rules perfectly. She has consistently demonstrated excellent behaviour and has been a fantastic role model for the rest of Cowell Class.
We are incredibly proud of you, Thanvika — what a wonderful way to start the year!
Well done, Cowell Class, on an amazing first week! We are so proud of the effort, bravery, kindness and enthusiasm you have shown. We can't wait to see what next week brings!
