A fantastic week in Rowling🌟

We’ve had another brilliant week in class, with everyone working incredibly hard and showing great enthusiasm across all our subjects!

We’ve been investigating friction and exploring how different surfaces affect the movement of objects. We enjoyed testing a range of surfaces, making predictions and observing how friction changes depending on the material. There was some fantastic scientific thinking and discussion throughout our investigations! In English this week, we’ve continued our exciting journey into The Hobbit, enjoying writing descriptive pieces inspired by Bilbo Baggins and the magical world of the Shire. The children have been working hard to develop their vocabulary and bring their descriptions to life through imaginative language. Our Harvest Festival preparations are well underway, and the children have been practising their songs beautifully. The singing is sounding fantastic, and we’re so proud of the effort and enthusiasm everyone has put into rehearsals. We can’t wait to share it with you! In history, we’ve been learning about the justice system in Anglo-Saxon England, exploring how people were punished for crimes and how communities dealt with wrongdoing. Rowling especially have enjoyed discovering how different the justice system was compared with today and discussing whether these historical methods were fair.

Well done to everyone for another hardworking week full of curiosity, creativity and fantastic learning. Keep up the brilliant work! 🌟

Have a great weekend!! Miss Harding
