It’s been another fantastic week in class, filled with engaging learning and thoughtful discussions.

We were delighted to welcome The Two Johns back once again, who delivered an informative and engaging session on online safety. They helped the children understand how to stay safe online and make sensible choices in the digital world. The children thoroughly enjoyed the visit and it sparked some really interesting discussions back in the classroom, highlighting their growing maturity and awareness.

In history, we continued our Romans topic by exploring Roman roads and their influence on our local area. The children investigated how these roads have changed over time and examined a range of different sources to help explain Roman legacies. They showed great understanding when discussing primary and secondary sources and what these can tell us about life in the past.

Our science lessons were full of curiosity as we investigated how sound becomes fainter as distance increases. We discussed how to make this a fair test before the children decided how to present their findings. After carrying out the investigation, the children were fascinated by the results. We then explored the scientific reasons behind what we observed and linked this back to previous learning, revisiting how sound loses energy as it travels away from its source.

It’s been a really positive and productive week of learning.
Have a lovely weekend!
