What another brilliant week of learning we have had!

This week, in our Online Safety lesson, we focused on how companies encourage us to buy online and within digital platforms. We explored persuasive techniques used in advertising, particularly in-app purchases in games, and discussed how these are designed to tempt players to spend money. The children learned what to look out for, why it is important to ask permission before making purchases and how to make safe and sensible choices when playing games online.

Our PSHE learning was centred around communities. We explored what makes a community, the different communities the children are part of and the importance of a range of job roles within our community. The children shared thoughtful ideas and showed a strong understanding of how everyone plays an important role.

In Science, we continued our exciting topic on Sound. We learned about the different parts of the ear and what they do to help us hear. The children then investigated whether different animals have better or worse hearing than humans, which led to some fascinating discussions and comparisons.

To finish the week, we made an exciting start to our new History unit on the Romans. During our first lesson, we discovered how the Romans took over much of Europe and invaded Celtic lands. The children were intrigued by Roman power and strategies and are already eager to learn more.

A fantastic week full of curiosity, discussion, and enthusiasm. Well done everyone!
