What a fantastic start to the Spring Term with lots of exciting learning taking place across the curriculum.
In science, we began our new unit on Sound. The children explored what sound is, learned vocabulary to describe different sound sources and investigated what is vibrating to make a sound. As part of our working scientifically focus, the children carried out an investigation around the school using decibel readers to measure noise levels and identify the types of sounds heard in different areas. They then used their results to create bar graphs, helping them to interpret and present their findings clearly.
We also launched our new art topic, focusing on the artist Gustav Klimt. The children carried out research into his life and work, discovering interesting facts about his style and influences. They then created inspiration boards to share what they had learned, showcasing thoughtful ideas and creativity.
It has been wonderful to see the children so engaged and enthusiastic about their learning. We are really looking forward to the rest of the term ahead.
Have a wonderful weekend!
