Wonderful Walliams 07.11.2025

Date: 8th Nov 2025 @ 9:03pm

What a wonderful start we’ve had to the second half of the autumn term! The children have returned full of enthusiasm and curiosity, ready to dive into our new topics and challenges.

In Geography, we began exploring our exciting new topic — Sustainability. The children learned about finite and infinite resources, discussing why it’s so important for us to live sustainably and protect our planet for the future. They showed great critical thinking when reflecting on how sustainable our own school is and came up with some fantastic suggestions for how we could make it even better — from reducing waste and saving energy to encouraging more recycling and eco-friendly travel.

To end the week on a creative note, we also completed our art unit inspired by the famous Impressionist painter Claude Monet. After studying his masterpiece The Houses of Parliament, Sunset, the children applied his brushstrokes and use of colour to create their own stunning interpretations of other well-known landmarks. The results were truly impressive — full of vibrant colour, light, and creativity!

It’s been a fantastic week of learning, reflection, and creativity. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the term brings!

Have a lovely weekend!
