Week 7

Date: 17th Oct 2025 @ 4:24pm

Seuss Class has had another busy and exciting week of learning!

In Maths, we have been practising the formal method of addition, working carefully to line up our digits and exchange ones correctly.

In English, our theme is The Lorax by Dr. Seuss. We are writing persuasive letters to the Once-ler, encouraging him to stop cutting down the beautiful Truffula trees and think about the importance of protecting the environment.

In Science, we investigated the permeability of soil, discovering which types of soil allow water to pass through most easily.

This afternoon, we used all of our drawing, shading, and texture skills to sketch animals from the Stone Age. We also created our own cave drawings using oil pastels, inspired by the artwork of real drawings from the Stone Age. The results were fantastic — full of creativity, colour, and imagination!

🌟 Another Great Week!

Another wonderful week in Seuss Class! Well done to Jyothis for being awarded Pupil of the Week — we’re so proud of your hard work and positive attitude. Keep it up! One more week until half term.
