Spring Term week 2
Date: 16th Jan 2026 @ 4:06pm
What an incredible week Seuss Class has had!
This week in English, we have been writing diary entries in role as George, the main character from the famous Roald Dahl book George’s Marvellous Medicine. The children certainly used their imaginations, coming up with lots of gruesome (and very creative!) ingredients for their medicines.
In Science, we investigated friction by using a ramp, a toy car, and different surfaces to explore how friction affects the way the car moves. The children made careful observations and loved testing their predictions. Furthermore, in history, the class completed fantastic research on the ancient Egyptians, using a range of primary and reliable sources.
During PSHE, we had some fantastic discussions about Human Rights and what they mean. The class then worked together to act out different human rights using mime, which was both thoughtful and fun to watch.
We also celebrated Michelle as our Pupil of the Week — well done! 🏆
To top it all off, we won the school spelling award again. What a brilliant achievement!
Have a great weekend.
