This half term in Science, Year 3 have been absolute rock stars—literally! We've been learning all about rocks, soils and the Stone Age and our classroom has been full of exciting experiments and creative art.

To discover how different soils work, we became scientists and carried out a soil permeability experiment. Using funnels, filter paper and a lot of curious thinking, we poured water through different types of soil to see which ones let the water through quickest.

In our art lessons, we travelled way back in time to the Stone Age. After looking at real cave paintings, we created our own using oil pastels, just like ancient artists might have done using natural materials. We used earthy tones and drew animals and cavemen using tools. We can't wait to show them off on Enterprise Day soon!

Have a great weekend everyone! Miss H and Mrs H
