Wow! What an incredible week!
π² Monday: Wilderness Foundation Adventure
On Monday, we went on our trip to the Wilderness Foundation and had an amazing day exploring nature. The children participated in pond dipping, den building, and discovering the natural world all around them. It was a fantastic day full of joy, curiosity, and adventure. A huge thank you to all the adult helpers who supported our groups—you made the day even more special!
πΊοΈ Wednesday: Geography Fieldwork Festival
This week, Seuss Class also took part in our very first Geography Fieldwork Festival. The theme was "The View from Our Window". The children explored their classroom view, collected and analysed data about their surroundings, and brainstormed ways to improve it. Their creative ideas to make the space greener and more nature-friendly were inspiring—I hope we can bring some of them to life next school year!
π€ Friday: Poetry Recital Finals
Today marked the exciting finals of the poetry recital. Seuss Class proudly voted for Leah and Prishaa as our class finalists, and they absolutely shone on stage. Both girls confidently performed their poems from memory, impressing us all with their confident performances. Well done, Leah and Prishaa! π
π Exploring Oceania
Additionally, the children have been embracing our topic of 'Oceania'. They’ve been hard at work creating beautiful collages, imaginative travel brochures, and animal themed kennings to showcase on our upcoming transition day. Their work has been colour, creative and full of enthusiasm—our display is going to look amazing!
Have a great weekend Seuss Class!
