Week 4

Date: 27th Jun 2025 @ 8:35am

It has been another busy week for Seuss Class.

On Monday, we had a special visit from Essex Fire and Rescue Service, who gave an important and informative talk about water safety. The session was both educational and eye-opening, helping us understand how to stay safe around water, especially as we head into the summer months.

In English, we’ve been diving into the world of adventure writing, inspired by our class book Temple Run. The class have shown great creativity in crafting imaginative challenges for their characters to overcome. From treacherous jungles to ancient traps, their stories are filled with exciting action and vivid dialogue using direct speech. It’s been wonderful to see their ideas come to life on the page.

Yesterday was Move Around Day, and Seuss Class were warmly welcomed into Lewis Class by their new Year 4 teacher, Miss Leader. The children had an exciting morning settling into their new classroom and getting to know their teacher.

In the afternoon, we held our exhibition and book look. It was wonderful to see so many parents and children attending. I’m sure you’ll all agree that the children have produced some incredible work this year—and our collages on the wall look amazing!

Have a wonderful weekend.
