Tolkien Class Update 16.5.25

Date: 16th May 2025 @ 3:42pm

It has been yet another busy but brilliant week in Tolkien Class.

In preparation for our school trip on Monday, we have now finished our Victorians unit of work. This week, we looked at the influence that the Victorians had on our local area and how effective their punishments were. It was great to see the children's reactions to their punishments and watch them compare them to modern day punishments. We are all really looking forward to our first school trip of the year to Braintree museum.

In art this week, we have been focusing on cubism. The afternoon, after PE, consisted of experimenting with oil paint, ready to complete our landscapes projects next week. In addition to this, the children started their final assessment week this morning as their time in Year 5 slowly comes to an end.

Please note that all children will need a packed lunch for the school trip on Monday!

Have a great weekend everyone.
