Lewis Class 08.12.2023

Date: 8th Dec 2023 @ 7:55pm

What another superb week in Lewis Class!

In DT this week, the children designed their own wire loop games using what they had found out during their research. All of the children thought carefully about what they wanted their design to look like whilst thinking about how they would make their design a success.

In PSHE, the children looked at what it looks like to be polite in their own and other cultures. The children found it fascinating how different cultures have different ways of being polite and impolite and found it interesting to compare them. They also looked at the different customs and traditions of different countries.

In Geography, the children looked at the importance of creating new habitats for birds is an example of sustainable development. During the lesson, the children reflected on their learning of scrapes and how these are important for the lapwing bird and why it is important to ensure there are suitable habitats for these birds to survive.

On Tuesday next week (12.12), we will be presenting our Christmas Service. Please join us at 9:15 so they can show what they have been working extremely hard on the last few weeks!

On Wednesday next week (13.12), the children will be auditioning for ‘Perryfields Got Talent’ where the children will be sharing their talents with the rest of the class. Two finalists will then be chosen to participate in the finals where they will have the opportunity to share their talent with the rest of the school.

Well done to our ‘Pupil of the Week’ Jessica for her hard work and determination so far this year and her fantastic diary where she displayed her understanding of everything we have learnt so far this year – keep up the incredible work Jessica!

Have a brilliant weekend!
