Dahl Class Update

Date: 8th Mar 2024 @ 3:01pm

What a fantastic week we have had in Dahl Class. It has been full of exciting activities and wonderful learning experiences.

On Monday, we transported ourselves back in time to the Tudor era and had a fantastic Tudor Day! The children dressed up in amazing Tudor costumes and took part in various Tudor-themed activities. We had a grand banquet, made our own Tudor medicines and learned many of stories about King Henry VIII's reign. It was a day filled with fun and lots of learning!

Thursday was World Book Day, and the children demonstrated their creativity and writing skills. They wrote the endings to their own horror stories, which left us all on the edge of our seats! The stories were brilliantly crafted, and it was a pleasure to read such imaginative and spooky endings.

In our English lessons this week, we focused on writing suspense stories. The children have been working incredibly hard and have produced some truly thrilling pieces. Their use of descriptive language, suspenseful plotlines and not giving too much information away was outstanding.

We also continued our new topics in Geography and Science. In Geography, we began learning about rivers and their importance in different regions. In Science, our study of living things and the diversity of life around us. Both topics have sparked curiosity and excitement among the children, and we are looking forward to exploring them further in the coming weeks.

I would like to wish everyone a lovely weekend full of relaxation and fun. I will see you all on Monday, refreshed and ready for another week of fantastic learning!
