Perryfields studied the Magna Carta as part of the 800 year anniversary of the original document.

On the 19 June 1215 at Runnymede King John signed the Magna Carta. (This means Great Charter.) It was the first formal document stating that a King had to follow the laws of the land and it guaranteed the rights of individuals against the wishes of the King.

We have all been learning about the Magna Carta and its implications for liberty and justice in Britain and other countries throughout the World and some of our work is displayed on our ‘Wonderful Writing Wall’ in the main hall.
