On Thursday 15th October, Year 3 took part in a rock and fossil day. It took place in the school hall and was enjoyed by all. The children found out about rocks and the creation of the earth; listened to stories about a dinosaur poo fossil; took part in a quiz and a fossil hunt; learnt about Mary Anning and fossils; sketched fossils and even held a fossilised dinosaur’s egg!
“I thought that because I am in Mary Anning house, I would be bored. But I am not. This is so exciting”
Jaidon (Fine Class)
“I cannot believe that there are baby dinosaur bones inside the egg!”
Leon (Fine Class)
